Thanks. hmm, I had to create a new thread and merge the two just to be able to rename it since I've moved...

You should have the ability to change the title, it's in a different spot than the normal edit though.

Otherwise...those wheels are blangin'. I told you on Thursday how hawt they looked, the tire fitment is PERFECT IMHO. Not a fan of the stretch and yours don't have it :baller:

Dude, the rest of my car is filthy though :thumbsdow

I just washed the wheels last night cause I don't want the crap sitting on the new lips too long. I gotta pick up a rad support from a guy after work, we can wash it in Vacaville on Alamo after I pick it up, then go take pics. You should come with me tonight to the Willies meet in Sac :thumb:

Damn, its been a while since I've updated this :whoa:

Got the motor mounts in, and the front mount upper bolt broke on the way to Point Reyes
Image

Got home and found a new solid rubber mount and new(ish) bolts and removed the poly insert. That thing sucked :thumbsdow

Now the clutch cable is stretched and barely drivable, so its been sitting in the garage since I got home from Oregon almost 3 weeks ago. Got new clutch, flywheel, manual adjusting clutch cable and throttle cable ordered :thumb: Gonna have it installed while I'm gone for another 6 months.

Today I finally dynoed the GTI!

My bumper barely cleared going up the ramp even with the little pieces of wood they used to give me more clearance

Here's a vid and my numbers :D

Well, just limped the GLI to Rich's shop with absulutely NO clutch! Had to power shift all the way there, and start in 1st gear at lights I had to stop at. But I made it! Now it'll be getting new clutch, flywheel, rebuilt and powdercoated tranny, and new manual adjusting clutch cable and throttle cable :whoa:

A Big thanks to Rich for hooking me up

See you all in 6 months

Wow, it's been a wile since I've updated this. Here's some things I've got done to the cars:

GLI

No more ratchet strap :funny:
Image
Rebuilt tranny

Returned to stock height for a trip to Oregon in April. It snowed the weekend we were there
Image

Had these installed for a week before the relay harness that came with it went bad :thumbsdow
Was nice while it lasted.
Image

And a pic from a drive in Oregon last April to the beach
Image

Now the GTI

Got the engine rebuilt after getting a little water in cyl one, so I went 2.9L, forged 82mm JE pistons and Integrated Engineering rods, Eurospec 264/260 cams, Fidanza 16lb flywheel and spec st2 clutch, Autotech Wavetrack LSD, and soon to be installed TT 2.5" downpipe and CA legal high flow cat. Once I get the dp and hf cat installed, I'll get it dyno'd again and see what I gained.

Not much new exterior wise

Oh, and I signed up for AAA :rolf:
Had to use my girlfriend's when i had to have it towed to Ozsport where I had all the work done

Nice cars bro. Too bad you couldn't drive them both at the BBQ. :funny:

Thanks for helping with the clean after the BBQ and for just sticking around and just chill. We greatly appreciated it. A lot of us in the crew couldn't stop mentioning on how much you helped out. Thank you again.
